"Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself."

Education is a gift that I value very, very much. Ever since I was young, I have always been eager to learn, whether it was inside or outside of the classroom. Throughout my years in elementary and middle school, math was always my favorite subject, but I strived to do my best in all subjects. As a result of this, my hard work has always been very rewarding.

High School

Throughout high school, I always made high honor roll. In the end, I ended up with many different awards, including Highest Academic Achievement in Mathematics, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Medalist, Wellesley College Book Award, and MVP on Varsity Tennis Team. The epitome of my academic career came when I gave a valedictory speech at my high school graduation in June 2005. However, my learning did not end in high school.

Undergraduate Studies

I quickly flew down to Atlanta, GA to attend the Georgia Institute of Technology, where I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. I have just finished my third year of college, and I can honestly say that I have never loved and appreciated the process of learning more than I do now! :)

I learned a lot of different programming languages and platforms through various computer science concepts. These include:

Object Oriented Programming (Java, Python, SmallTalk, Jython)
Web Design & Development (HTML, CSS, PHP, mySQL, VB.Net)
Systems (C, Assembly)
Platforms (Windows, Linux)
Microsoft Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, FrontPage)

In addition to all of these programming languages and applications, I have also been lucky enough to see the psychological aspect of Computer Science through courses such as User Interface Design and Cognitive Science.

I have continued to strive for success down I have made Dean's List at Georgia Tech every semester, and in Summer 2007, I was lucky enough to study abroad in Barcelona, Spain. It was a very enlightening cultural and educational learning experience, and I hope that I will one day also have the chance to go back abroad, for sightseeing or for work purposes.

In addition to all of the Computer Science courses that I have already taken and all of the languages and platforms that I have learned, I am currently enrolled in these courses for the Fall 2008 semester:

Computer Networking I
Senior Research Capstone
Information Technology
Abnormal Psychology

I will be completing my undergraduate studies in December 2008.
